Nigeria is to benefit from United Kingdom’s £1.2bn intervention fund to boost digital inclusion in the country.
This was made known in a statement by the Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Dambatta following a meeting between the United Kingdom’s Department of Foreign Affairs and the Commission.
The meeting was centred on the need to boost digital inclusion in Nigeria and to collaborate on cybersecurity and capacity building.
According to the NCC Boos, “This delegation is here to explore how the UK government can channel a significant intervention to the tune of £1.2bn to create wealth and posterity in some selected countries,’’ he said.
